Getting around Makkah as a pilgrim

Most of your time in Makkah is spent close to Masjid al-Haram, but the journeys that need a vehicle are the ones that matter most: the airport arrival, the trip to Madinah, the Haramain train station and the ziyarat sites around the city. A private taxi gives you a fixed price, a driver who knows the way and no need to bargain after a long flight.

Traffic near the Haram is busy during Ramadan, Fridays and the school holidays. Your driver will take the best route and drop you at the closest point your hotel allows.
